The WAP
Even though Marc and I don't always love it here, there are two really nice things about living in Escondido: you can get 15 avocados for 3 dollars at the little fruit stand on Ash (seriously- 15 avocados for 3 bucks!!), and we live just minutes away from the Wild Animal Park. The last time we were there we stumbled upon this little grassy overlook that we had never been to before, so today when I was trying to think of a nice place for Rome and me to play outside, I figured I would pack a blanket and head over to the WAP. He's still way too young to really care about the animals, but we strolled through the park, and I read all the signs to him. I must say that in doing so I received some strange looks from people passing by, which surprised me a little. What? Am I just supposed to ignore him as I walk around? Ok... perhaps it wasn't just the sign reading, but the fact that I was asking him questions about the animals we were looking at and providing answers for him, but talking to your baby is key in his language development, so I will be talking away... even if I do seem a little nuts. Here are just a couple of pictures of our day today.
He definitely has a "Blue Steel" thing going on in this picture... Work it Romey!
We laughed, we played, and he slept. It was a good day.
