I felt compelled tonight to do a small post on all the fun we've been having around here. I never knew how much fun it could be chasing after a toddler. Don't get me wrong, now that Romey's walking (and running), I am more tired than ever (I am sure that my gigantic belly doesn't help), but I am still loving it. Lately, Roman's favorite activity is to find a toy that he likes and just run from room to room laughing and yelling. It's so much fun to watch him go, go, go. Marc was able to take Friday off a couple weeks ago, so we headed to the zoo. Rome and I go to the WAP all the time (a couple of times in just the last two weeks, in fact), so we decided to go to the zoo. We grabbed some breakfast at my favorite little place here in Escondido, and then we were off! We walked, we ate, we looked at some animals, and we had fun. I love getting to spend the whole day with my boys. Then the boys spent a few hours at the park together this past Tuesday while I had another prenatal check up. (Everything is going very well, by the way. I will post on all of that later.) Wednesday was a WAP day, and on Thursday, Rome and I headed out to my favorite park in Rancho Santa Fe. We grabbed some sandwiches and had lunch at the park. We also had to take Rome's big dump truck so he could push it around and fill it with bark and leaves, and we just ran around for hours. He was so tired that when we got home I was able to pick him up out of his car seat without him waking up, which never happens. And of course, we've grabbed plenty of smoothies along the way. As you will see in the picture below, Rome made a friend at Jamba Juice who decided to make Rome a really big smoothie. Roman was totally excited, and it lasted pretty much the entire day. So as you can see, we're all just going, going, going; it's not just the little one. I wonder what we'll do this week.
