Our little guy is the big FOUR... four months that is. I think that the best part of this time with him is that he is really starting to come into his own, and I can see his little personality really taking shape. We spent the last week in the bay area visiting Marc's parents and Erica and her family, and when we got home Marc asked if Roman had gotten bigger while we were gone. I'm not sure if he is bigger than he was when we left for our trip, but he is certainly a stronger, louder, and more active baby since we left. I think that hanging out with Erica's kids had a big impact on him. Gentry and Roman were "talking" to each other one of the days we were over there, and now Rome won't stop squawking. He was even trying to "talk" to Michelle's daughters over at Sarah's house Friday night... it was pretty cute. And I thought it was pretty funny that Roman now weighs what Michelle's daughter Katelyn weighed at nine months... That's my big boy. :)
Our four month old Roman: loves his Barnaby (a green plush giraffe which has crinkly feet and rattles); really wants to roll from back-to-front, but can't quite coordinate his muscles yet; is still obsessed with his mobile (and thanks grandpa for outfitting it with an AC adapter so that I will stop running through batteries); has a very boisterous laugh and huge grin to go along with it; loves to ride on his dad's shoulders; loves to be "super baby" and dangle upside-down; wants to put anything in his hands in his mouth; is getting better at sucking his thumb; still hates taking a nap. What? A four month old can't be all flowers and sausages, and he really really really hates to nap. I am really hoping that this changes, but I am learning to accept that he's just not a napper. Here are just a few adorable pictures of my little man... and I am sorry if you read Erica's blog because I took some of these photos from her.
