Babies, Babies, and More Babies!

I am very-very-super-duper-excited to announce that Erik and Sarah's twins, Caleb and Mallory, have arrived this week!! Hooray!! They were born Monday morning and everyone is doing well. But then it gets better because Trent and April's son, Jack, was also born Monday morning, and Marc just informed me that Justin and Katy's daughter, Gracye, made her arrival this morning! In the words of Potts, "holy moley!" This was a very busy week for our friends, and I am so happy for all of them. Marc and I are making a trip up to the bay area to visit Brad, Kate, and Dylan in the beginning of September, so I won't be able to see Caleb, Mallory, or Gracye until then, but I am hoping to head over and see baby Jack very soon.

In other exciting news, my Mindy Marie was in town this last week, and we finally got to spend some quality time together, and she finally got to meet Roman. I haven't seen her in forever, so it was so nice that she had such a long trip so that our time didn't feel rushed. She spent a couple of days up here last week, and last night we headed out for a happy hour for her birthday. It was really so good to see her. OH! And our friend Adam came out to enjoy some food and beer with us, and he gave us the greatest baby gift:

Yes, that is the actual title of this book; it's written as though it were a child's bedtime story, but from the perspective of an exhausted parent, who desperately wants the child to sleep, and it is hilarious. It starts out fairly calm (beware: profanity ahead):

And then as the book progresses it gets more and more desperate... and a little bit angry:

There's an audio version with Samuel L. Jackson, which is hilarious, and I highly recommend that you Google it. I guess I should grab a few more copies of the book to give to all the new parents. Thank you again, Adam; you read our minds.
