A Major Milestone.

Today was a big day in the Pace/Riesenberg household. Not only did Roman turn seven months old, but he also crawled for the first time!! I'll grant you that it was not the most graceful crawl, and he really didn't make it that far, but he definitely made his first crawling "steps" today, and I was beyond thrilled. He has been wanting to crawl for weeks now, and all he has wanted to do is practice, practice, practice, and then he would get frustrated and start crying. But today while he was on the floor, I propped his little body over my nursing pillow and proceeded to explain to him that that was the position his body needed to be in to crawl properly. I have no idea if what I did or said really had any impact on him (and most likely it did not), but it was mere minutes after that that he crawled. I tried as hard as I could to get some video of it today, but he would just stop and stare at me whenever I brought out the camera. I even tried to record him while I was on the phone with Peggy, but he just wasn't able to get going again like the first time; I have no doubt in my mind, however, that by the end of the week he will be a proficient crawler, which of course means that Marc and I will be baby-proofing this weekend. Roman is about to be fully mobile... I don't know if I am ready for this...

Oh... and since I don't have any pictures of the little man in action, please do enjoy these pictures of us at the park last weekend.
